Understand Your Investment in Holistic Psychological Support

At East Maitland Holistic Psychology Clinic, we understand that clarity around costs is an important part of your mental health care. Our competitive fees are set to provide high-quality, integrative therapy that’s tailored to your individual needs. We also guide you through potential rebates available through Medicare and private health funds, helping you prioritise your wellbeing with greater financial confidence.

Fees & Rebates

The standard fee payable on the day of consultation is $230 before any rebates (see below) and includes a 50 minute consultation.  (Private organisations (third-party payers) are charged at a higher rate to allow invoice processing and completion of any report writing/additional administration requirements).

If you have a mental health referral from your GP, a rebate of $98.95 will be processed together with your payment. Medicare allow for 10 rebated sessions in a calendar year (from the 1st January to the 31st December each year). Medicare requires that you see your GP every six sessions for a review to continue being eligible for sessions.

You may also be able to claim a rebate from your Private Health Fund if you choose not to claim a rebate from Medicare or if you take this option after your have used all of your Medicare sessions. Most private health covers include psychological treatment and provide a rebate ranging from $40.00 to $220. It is advisable to check with your health insurer as to whether your specific policy covers psychological treatment.

If you have NDIS funding which is self-managed or plan-managed, please contact us to discuss the plan and how we can help you.
